Flying in Company.  Endorsement  Full (unrestricted)

Display the ability to fly safety with others, maintaining a good Look Out, complying with the Rules of the Air and exhibiting good Airmanship, and demonstrate an ability to manoeuvre Powered Paragliders / Powered Hang gliders safely, considerately and in accordance with air traffic rules.  

 

Qualifying minimum flying days  Endorsement  Full (unrestricted)

Must have successfully flown paramotors or paragliders or hang gliders or power gliders or Microlight as pilot in command on at least 8 separate days within the previous 9 months.  

 

Qualifying minimum flying hours  Endorsement Full  (unrestricted)

Must have a minimum of 5 hours logged airtime as pilot in command on paragliders, powered paragliders, power gliders or hang gliders or Microlight of which at least 3 hours must be on powered paragliders or powergliders.

Satisfy the Instructor that the pilot has the correct attitude to continue a flying career both safely and competently.

 

 Assessment Course Details

This course is specifically tailored for pilots who have been paramotoring for some time but have not attended any formal training courses. In this course you will be taken through the following stages: 

  • Practical demonstration of your skills and complete the practical  tasks as per the syllabus.

  • Theoretical check list of paramotoring training syllabus.  

  • On completion you will then sit simple multiple choice question exam.                                                              Interactive sample Syllabus details is available here .

On completion of the course the Irish Powered Paragliding & Hang gliding Association will issue your rating - membership card.
